Who do you want to see in the BCIA Hall of Fame?

To celebrate 21 years of the British Construction Industry Awards we will this year be identifying the personalities behind some of the key projects of the last two decades.

Although the BCIA was established to celebrate project and team success, clearly every year there have been outstanding individual performances – and outstanding careers spanning often several projects and many years.

We want to recognise these people for the contributions that they have made over the years.

We want to use these 21st anniversary celebrations to establish a new BCIA Hall of Fame – a permanent and growing reminder of the individual performances that so often lead and drive the outstanding construction teams.

With this new BCIA Award – sponsored by Scott Wilson – we will be able to do just that.

So who are these people? Who are the outstanding individuals from construction over the last 21 years. Who are the engineers, architects, designers, constructors and project managers whose names should be immortalised by the BCIA Hall of Fame?

We need to hear your views on who should be recognised in this inaugural 21st anniversary year and importantly why. Over the next six weeks we will be assembling a long list of candidates for consideration.

Then, we’ll be asking for your input to help choose the final candidate using on-line polling and on-page voting before putting your views to the BCIA judging panel and the final selection of the personalities and outstanding individuals of the last 21 years.

The award or awards will be announced at the BCIA gala awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 10 October.

What we need you to do…..

1. Identify the outstanding individuals working in construction over the last 20 years.

2. Tell us who they are and why they should be recognised by the BCIA Hall of Fame.

You do not have to know the person that you are nominating personally or even have worked with them. However we do ask that you have a clear idea of what it is that has made them shine and of what projects they have been involved in that have benefited from their input over the years.
