Geotechnical solutions feature in Bauma awards shortlist
Innovative new equipment developed for the ground engineering sector is set to be showcased to a wider audience following shortlisting of a number of industry solutions in Germany’s Bauma Innovation Awards.
Equipment from Herrenknecht, Aker Wirth and Bauer has made the final for the awards with the winners due to be revealed at the Bauma construction equipment exhibition, which opens in Munich on 15 April.
In the machine category, Herrenknect’s new semi trenchless pipe layer – Pipe Express – and Aker Wirth’s versatile mobile tunnel miner have been shortlist.
Bauer has made the shortlist in two categories. Its new tablet PC has been shortlisted in the machinery component category, while its solution for constructing monopile foundations into rockbed via an umbilical cord has made the final three in the construction process category.
