Uretek launches faster PowerPile system

Uretek UK took possession of its new computerised PowerPile polymer column system last week.

The new generation PowerPile will match the speed and lack of disruption of traditional Uretek polymer injection processes with the introduction of a computerised one-stop installation system small and light enough to easily be moved by one operative.

The system, designed to provide precise control and continuity of performance, was developed at Uretek’s international research centre in Finland, and was delivered to the UK company headquarters in Lancashire on Thursday.

PowerPile involves injecting expanding polymer resin into specially developed high-strength geotextile tubes inserted into the ground through holes as small as 36mm diameter. The new UPP401 PowerPile offers load transfer as well as soil compaction, thus providing direct structural support and improving the ground.
