'F' for Fellowship

Given that membership is a measure of capability, the attainment of Fellowship has to depend on recognition by clients or a prominent employer.

It is usually a measure of leadership, seniority and experience not only in depth, but more particularly in breadth. I think that specialised experience offered on its own, as justification for Fellowship, needs to be world-class.

Many engineers deliver excellence and have great careers without the "F" rating.
But the idea that Fellowship is related to fees payable to the Institution is frankly below
the salt.
