Enter NCE's Employer Review 2008
The review will include a basic listing, company profiles and the results of our employer awards. The review will be published in November.
If you are an employer you need to complete the downloadable questionnaire and return it by 8 September to Olivia Horne or Jackie Whitelaw at NCE, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London NW1 7EJ.
Why are we doing this?
The intention behind the review is to demonstrate that the industry’s employers offer the chance for people to develop tailor made, valuable careers at a time when the world is realising it needs engineering skills as it never has before.
It is intended to demonstrate that the profession and its employers have great opportunities to offer for those already in the industry, people thinking of joining it, and people who have maybe never before considered it as an option in order to meet the needs of society in the future.
The review will look at traditional issues of reward and recognition but will also discuss subjects like how businesses are learning to value technical excellence, approaches to improving diversity, involvement with the local community and team building through social events.
We are also asking employers to confidentially reveal details of their highest paid engineer so we can hopefully dispel the myth that civil engineers can not earn big salaries that compete with laywer, medics and even the financial sector.
