The power to change

We rely on civil engineers for a lot of different things, some you might not even be aware of. In this issue you’ll read how trains running at 400kmh will ease congestion on our public transport, bring the UK’s cities closer together and help the economy.

Civil engineers are also changing lives at the scenes of natural disasters. In Haiti, Chile, Cumbria and around the world engineers are keeping people safe and helping them rebuild their communities.
