BREAKING NEWS - London sets out £80bn transport plan
Livingstone argued that the cash would generate £180bn in GDP for the UK economy over 60 yearsThe money will be spent on completing the Tube PPP, building the east-west Crossrail scheme, further expansion of bus services, and upgrades of the suburban rail networkThe £81bn sum exludes the £3bn Thameslink scheme which is being funded by Network Rail and also line two of Crossrail which is down for construction beginning in 2018.
