Graduate award winner to take "trip of a lifetime"

A ‘trip of a lifetime’ on the Trans Mongolian Railway from Moscow to Beijing is now being planned by NCE’s current Graduate Awards Winner Emma Kent.

“My £1500 prize will go a long way to helping me achieve this aim,” said the 23 year old structrual engnieer with Buro Happold. “I want to visit some of China’s major construction projects and improve my Manderin.”

Emma beat of a record 140 entrants to be crowned the 2008 graduate superstar last December. Further rewards for her this year include a meeting with the Construction Minister and being the guest of honour at the ICE’s Graduates and Students Paper competition awards.
