Entry to the 2013 Awards is now closed. The 2013 entry form and instructions are still accessible for information only. The 2014 Awards will be launched late Spring 2014.

The awards are sponsored by 18 of the industry's biggest employers. They are:

Before entering please read the following information carefully.

The NCE Graduate Awards 2013 are designed to recognise and reward the most promising all round civil engineers who graduated during 2012 and are now enjoying their first post graduate jobs, putting into practice what they learned at university.

The awards are open to anyone who graduated from an ICE accredited civil, structural – or related – engineering first degree course, or MSc postgraduate course, during 2012. The MSc must have followed on directly after the first degree without a gap between the two courses. A graduate currently pursuing any other relevant post graduate degree is also eligible so long as the first, or MSc degree, was completed in 2012.

Entries should be submitted by the graduate and no company approval is needed.

Entries should be completed online by clicking the link below.

Applicants will be requested to highlight their academic, work and social achievements. They will also be asked to complete two short essay questions on topical subjects.

Entrants will be marked on all round ability; not only academic and work related achievements but also their enthusiasm for civil engineering.

Entries will be judged by a panel of senior engineers drawn from the awards' Sponsors. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Monday 28 October 2013 and asked to mmake a short presentation at a meeting with the judges at the Institution of Civil Engineers, London on Friday 8 November 2013. Entrants not approached by Monday 28 October have regrettably not been shortlisted.

All shortlisted candidates will be invited to the awards' presentation lunch on Wednesday 4 December 2013, held at the Institution of Civil Engineers, London. Travel expenses to both events will be reimbursed by NCE.

All shortlisted candidates will receive a certificate. The winner will receive a specially commissioned trophy and £1500. Up to two runners' up will each receive £700 and up to three highly commended candidates £350.

The judges' decisions will be regarded as final and no correspondence, other than required by this entry, should be sent to any judge.
