Mott MacDonald graduate civil engineer Jamie Radford has been named NCE Graduate of the Year.
Overall winner, 24 year old Radford from Cambridge University and now with Mott MacDonald, was handed a £1,500 cheque and a specially crafted trophy by chairman of judges NCE editor Antony Oliver at the awards lunch at the ICE before Christmas.
Radford beat off competition from five other young finalists who had won through from a record 115 worldwide entries to each face gruelling interviews from a panel of 17 senior directors from the awards’ sponsoring companies.

Entries for the 2013 NCE Graduate Awards will be welcomed in the summer. To enter you will need to have completed an ICE accredited civil engineering – or related – degree in 2012. Six finalists will share a prize pot of £4,000, with the overall winner receiving a £1,500 cheque and buckets of praise at an awards lunch packed with industry leaders. Two runners up will each win £700 and three highly commended entries £350.
