The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are being delivered by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
LOCOG is creating some temporary venues and managing existing venues around the capital and the country.
Permanent and temporary new venues and infrastructure are being built for London 2012 by the Olympic Delivery Authority, which will hand its projects over to LOCOG in 2011 to allow time for test events.
LOCOG is responsible for staging the Games and providing the Games Time Overlay, putting the Olympic and Paralympic style, branding and facilities needed to run a successful Games into all the venues - temporary, existing and permanent - which are being established for the Games.
The 2012 Olympic Games take place from 27 July to 12 August 2012; the Paralympic Games run from 29 August to 9 September 2012.
